In this issue, my column covers the following YA Books:
Wicked Lovely, by Melissa Marr
Vintage, by Steve Berman
The Silver Moon Elm, by MaryJanice Davidson and Anthony Alongi
Interworld, by Neil Gaiman and Michael Reeves
The Princess and the Hound, by Mette Ivie Harrison
Alex Unlimited: The Vasarak Code, by Dan Jolley
The Secret Life of Sparrow Delaney, by Suzanne Harper
Edited out of the column for unknown reasons (perhaps space issues, or just the wisdom of the editor knowing when a review is just pointless) was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, by J.K. Rowling.
Fiction in this issue includes stories by Graham Edwards (I -love- his stories about his nameless detective, I'd be first in line to buy a full book!), Richard Parks, Sandra McDonald, David Barr Kirtley, Joe Murphy, and Von Carr.
Currently working on my next YA review column. The tentative lineup includes books by Justine Musk, Rachel Caine, Shannon Hale, and Perry Moore, with a number of others still engaged in a full-contact steelcage deathmatch for the remaining spots. Strong contenders include E.B. Baker, Charles de Lint, and Holly Black & Tony DiTerlizzi. So many good books this time around, so little space.
