|03:15 pm - Realms of Fantasy - October and other news|
I just recieved my contributor copies of the latest issue of Realms of Fantasy, cover date October 2007.
In my YA column, I look at:
Ironside, by Holly Black
The Titan's Curse, by Rick Riordan (3rd in the Percy Jackson series)
The Wizard Heir, by Cinda Williams Chima
Nobody's Princess, by Esther Friesner
In the Serpent's Coils, by Tiffany Trent
Tantalize, by Cynthia Leitich-Smith
The Good Ghoul's Guide to Getting Even, by Julie Kenner
Hex Education, by Emily Gould and Zareen Jaffery
Fiction in this issue contains stories by Jack Skillingstead, Holly Black, David Barr Kirtley, Ruch Nestvold and Jay Lake, Davon Monk, and Naomi Kritzer.
I'll be finishing up my column for the next issue in the upcoming week, tentatively including new(ish) releases by Steve Berman, Neil Gaiman and Michael Reeves, Melissa Marr, and some unknown hack named J.K. Rowling, among others.
Also, latest reports indicate that THE DRAGON DONE IT, a Baen anthology edited by Mike Resnick and Eric Flint, reprinting my story, "Claus of Death" will be out in March 2008. I've seen the cover, a Bob Eggleton piece, and it's quite nice.
