Yesterday and today, I went up to DC to visit family and see my old high school. To make time move faster, I took along an audiobook. LOCAL CUSTOM, by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, as read by Michael Shanks and put out by Buzzy Multimedia.
Can I just say how much I absolutely adore the Liadan books? They're so much fun. This one is... well, I want to describe it as a science fiction/space opera romance of manners. And with Shanks doing the narrating, you really get a view for the near-Shakespearian word/interplay between the main characters as they court, fight, duel, and connive, all with words as their weapons. Lee and Miller are awesome; the audiobook only enhances my enjoyment.
I love audiobooks. Next up is GRAVE PERIL, written by Jim Butcher, as read by James "Spike" Marsters.
