12:18 pm - Saga of the Appliances, Part 3...
In the beginning, there was Part 1: THE FAILED DELIVERY.
Then came Part 2: RETURN OF THE FAILED DELIVERY.
And now, Part 3... THE FAILED DELIVERY STRIKES AGAIN.

What happened? Well, on the good side, they showed up. A week late, but they actually showed up. They cut it a little tight, since they had until 12 before we unleashed holy wrath on everyone, and they called at 11:23 and showed at 11:55.

That's when the fun began.
They couldn't install the stove because it was hardwired into the wall. They couldn't even touch it because it was hardwired.
They couldn't touch the dishwasher because it had hard copper pipes.
They couldn't touch the refrigerator because it had no shutoff valve behind it.

So I sent them away to reschedule. Now to get a plumber and an electrician. Oh, and must figure out where the heck the water shutoff for the fridge -is-. Oy.

This project is cursed. Sigh. Very frustrated.

Dude. That sucks large. You don't need me to tell you that, but it does.

We had our appliances done by Home Depot as well. It went slightly better for us, but only because it was part of an overall construction project wherein the entire kitchen had been ripped out and remade beforehand, leading to relative ease of installation. (I say Relative because it's never as easy as all that, but it did get done.)

Now, as for the way Home Despot then handled our linoleum? Less than happy.

On the bright side, got the plumber coming in later today, it looks like, and the electrician tomorrow morning. So -maybe- this will be over soon.
Which is good, because I'm sick of emptying and re-loading the fridge. And I want my stove back and usable.
