|08:15 pm - When I see...|
When I see a whole slew of celebrity deaths (i.e. Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson) in a short period of time, I start wondering things.
Like what up-and-coming stars are about to recieve unholy boosts to their career.
How much longer Dick Clark and Casey Kasem will live.
Just what sort of *censored because I just had a great idea and simply MUST let it percolate in the bacl of my mind* is going on.
Mark my words, this means something. Oh yes.
Hail, King of Pop, I salute your iconic dance and that one glove thing you had going on.
Hail, Queen of Pinups, I salute your image on a million walls.
Hail, Toymaker to the King, I salute your laugh. May you reunite with the King of Late Night.
Current Mood: thoughtful

You mean sacrificing other icons in order that their fame-life energizes your own?
Remember David Carradine just died too.
Oooooh dear. That's four.
Yeah, this one's going big.
I'm currently poking around, trying to find just the right word to describe the idea I'm toying with. Sadly, I'm not well-enough versed in etymology to puzzle it out quickly.
It's not quite -mancy, because that technically means divination, despite its more generalized use of late.
It's not -pathy, nor -genesis, nor -kinesis. It's not -ology or an -ism. I don't think -graphy applies either.
I'm sure there's one that means "to control" or "to exploit" or "to use" or "to manipulate" that isn't -kinesis (which means motion, as far as I can tell...)
I'm mainly just talking out loud while I play around with this. One thing I don't want to do is veer into the excellently-handled territory of Tim Pratt and his Marla Mason series. :>
