01:42 pm - Odd Question...
Is there any online resource that lists books by release date? I.E., if I wanted to know what was coming out in a particular week or month, does anywhere list them? I know of one bookstore whose online site has a partial list of upcoming releases for mystery and sf/fantasy, but it's not very thorough. Neither Amazon nor Barned and Noble seem to be terribly useful for this sort of thing...

To be more exact, I'd love to know the release schedules for SF and Fantasy publishers (and maybe paranormal romance and YA...): Ace, Roc, DAW, Tor, Baen, Kensington, Warner, Orbot, Solaris, etc.

Even if no such thing exists, I might be convinced to create such a resource if I can piece together the bits needed.

(I know some publishers do list their upcoming releases, but I just wanted to find if there was a central database, for my own curiosity.)

Anyway, that's my random thought for the moment.

Locus has an incomplete list at http://www.locusmag.com/ForthcomingBooks.html

I constructed a list of forthcoming DAW releases using Amazon at one point, but it was a lot of work, and wouldn't catch changes in the schedule if books were pulled or postponed or moved up...
